Ah, that's too bad. Thanks for helping me!

    Constant Current Source

I know I can't prevent the voltage drop of 1 volt. Is there a way of perhaps adding an extra circuit at the output of the constant current source to get the 1 volt back?

    Thanks for the help then.

    Constant Current Source

You can clearly not deal well with people. I'm just trying to get some ideas that I could try. Sorry, if that upsets you.

    Constant Current Source

    What do you mean?

    Constant Current Source

The current doesn't change and the voltage only drops around 1 volt, like expected. So I thought I could try the non-inverting amplifier to get more voltage at the output, but perhaps you have some more ideas I could do some research about.

    Constant Current Source

Yes, I'm using a zenerdiode for the constant reference drop. The problem is exactly like you are describing Bob. I get a voltage change when change the load, but I'm thinking for a way to prevent that or adding another circuit to get the voltage back. I tried to get the same voltage back by...

    Constant Current Source

Thank you for your reply. Is it perhaps possible with a current mirror or changing the voltage with an amplifier?

    Constant Current Source

I've made the simplest BJT Current Source from this link, but I replaced the voltage-divider circuit with a voltage-stabilizing one: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Circuit_Idea/Simplest_Transistor_Current_Source It works, but it does exactly as described under the title "What happens when we...

    Trapezoidal Wave Generator Circuit

After making some adjustments I got it to work. Not yet perfectly, but I'll work on that later. Thank you all for helping me.

    Trapezoidal Wave Generator Circuit

The 9V square wave is generated from a signal generator and this is the maximum voltage it can provide. I only use the second part of the circuit.

    Trapezoidal Wave Generator Circuit

Thanks a lot for explaining! I can remember that I did notice that the frequency has effect on the shape of the waveform. Could you tell me some more about it? What I forget to mention is that I supply the second part of the circuit without the astable multivibrator with 12V, and the square...

    Trapezoidal Wave Generator Circuit

The explanation of KrisBlueNZ really helped me to understand this circuit, but some parts of the circuit I don't fully understand. The circuit works great with an input voltage of 12V, but I want to change the input voltage to 9V. So to test I changed the resistors at the voltage divider of the...

    Non-inverting amplifier

So if I understand it correctly. I need to find a way to get hfe of the transistor to be 10.

    Non-inverting amplifier

I want to amplify a square wave to 12V. The peak voltage is now 10V, but I want to amplify it to 12V. So I was thinking about reducing the peak voltage to 6V and amplify it with a gain of 2.

    Non-inverting amplifier

I was just curious if this was the circuit you had in mind.

    Non-inverting amplifier

Is that the circuit that you mentioned before as a simple transistor amplifier or do you know another transistor amplifier that could work better?

    Non-inverting amplifier

I've found this transistor amplifier: Could this work?

    Non-inverting amplifier

I've tried it, but it didn't worked. I'll try again later. For some reason there are no problems with the rise time, but only with the fall time. Are there any websites you can recommend to calculate the values of the components? Thanks for the help!

    Non-inverting amplifier

Hello everyone, I used the LM741 to make a non-inverting amplifier with a gain of two. The amplification for a square wave works, but it gets a offset and the "down" flanks aren't at 90 degrees. How can I fix this?
