    Thanks for the reply Olivier, I also had a look at 32K serial eeproms but in the cases i saw (including 25C32) pin 2 is "Serial Data Out" and that simply CANNOT be hard connected to ground. So unless i find a case where pins "clk - data in - data out" are not grounded, i have to dismiss it...
