No, you are putting the probes on the same solder pad.
Have a look on YouTube for ‘how to use a multimeter.
Edit: I’ll find one and link it here... hold on.

Hello,

You used the wrong points to test.
Have a look at the picture:

All you are doing there is shorting the probes on the pcb track....that proves nothing in relation to the LED.

Ok. I'll do some more research. I am a quick learner but a novice at this stuf. The only reason I was able to take the pedal apart is because there's a video youtube of someone troubleshooting the same type of pedal. I'm pretty sure he used a multimeter to test something. I'll go rewatch it, maybe I can apply the same technique

Hi,
Thanks for the photo and diagram! I had tried that but there was no reading - I thought I was doing it wrong.

Hi Mergz, do you manage to sort your pedal out?

Martin
- Yes sort of - I took that piece in my video to my local trusted instrument/ repair store to ask if they had any spare LEDs which they did, but they also offered to just fix it for a few bucks which is fine by me because I am a bumbling fool when it comes to soldering and would take me forever and a lot of cursing.
