Where is the catch?

I would like to ask why I as a new member cannot post or reply to some topics
forum stated:

(You have insufficient privileges to reply here.)

Why is that ?
Or is that because i am new member?

May be because you are trying to reply to a thread that is old, closed and only moderators have the privilege.
Not 100% sure though.

That sounds like the likely reason. If you can link to a thread you're having problems with and I'll find out why .

it is not something very important but for example
topics under Twilight Zone called "Led magnetics" or omething like that i cannot reply
for example ,is this topic locked?
i don't see any icon that is locked or maybe i am wrong.

yes, almost all those threads in that section are locked .... they are basically just a store of the posts of seriously misinformed people

But even before you enter a specific thread, when you are just in the section
you will see the locked icons down near the right side, that you obviously missed seeing




and once in a thread and before you try and post, you will see yet another indicator that you cannot post there ( you must have missed seeing that one too ......

Pretty much all threads are locked ... are few are not ( usually the less idiotic ones)
