Sharp 32U-S60 TV need to adjust image size

I have a Sharp 32U-S60 TV that is nearly new (35 days), and I've
finally figured out what bugs me about it. The Image is too big, and
is chopping off the edges. I'm loosing the edges/ends of things like
the TIVO menus, news channel text scrollers, etc...

Since everything else is adjustable via the remote (Contrast,
brightness, etc..) I'm hoping there is a Service Mode (or something
similar) that is available to adjust the screen height and width.
Otherwise I'm going to have to go through the really big hassle of
returning it..

Anyone know how to do this? (Or even if it is possible?)

You should call their warranty service, and find out. Many of these sets do
not have any settings for the raster specs. The service mode should not be
tampered with. The set should be in the factory specs, or there may be a
fault condition.

Some models do not have a direct service mode. Outside service equipment and
software may be required. The service manual should be consulted for proper
specs, and set-ups.

Agreed, Jerry!! The average consumer should never attempt adjusting the
items via the setup menu. Because they tend to foul up other setings that
may actually damage their product. Then they do not tell the service
facility that they actually induced the problem with the set.
Actually the set is covered by manufacturers warrenty for labour and parts
so take advantage of that fact. Consumers modfying service menu items in
some cases may void that warrenty. The selling dealer will be able to refer
you to a service facility with thehcapabilities to service your fine Sharp
Tele. Have a fine 2004
