Communist or NeoCon - the result is the same - the enslavement of the people - except for a privileged few.

While there is a balance between systems, the "leadership" is occupied with the threats from outside and needs to keep their own
people on side.

Upset the balance and what do we get ? Just follow me and we can rid ourselves of these bad people, these illegal combatants,
these untermenschen, these rogue states. We can put them in gulags and torture them. We can lock up our own people too, the
blacks and the moslems. We can detain them without trial and limit free speech. With no credible exterior threat we can do as
we please :-)

Come on now, we've been over this ground before. Aside for the prohibition on Cuba, there is the indisputable fact that the USA
(and our own dear Blair) have made it unsafe to go to some of the more interesting (backward maybe) places in the world. And
isn't it a peculiar slavery that makes a would be emigrant liable to US taxes on whatever they earn anywhere. This is not
really a freedom to come and go as one pleases. But granted, yes, it is better than not being able to leave at all and it is
certainly better than being gunned down while attempting to cross from East to West.
