I'm trying to repair an old (mid-70's) Woodson amp and am having trouble identifying a couple of RCA transistors. In the preamp section, there are 2 metal-can transistors (TO5 or 39, I think -- 3 legs E,B,C) with integrated heatsinks. One is marked with "0111" at the top and "CXM 509" at the bottom. The other is marked "0012" and "CCF 509" at the bottom. Both are reading short-to-ground, so I can't identify either by measurements. I have a suspicion that these are germanium transistors based on the age and application. What I need is either some specifications or a direct cross-reference for replacement (NTE was not helpful). I can't find any info on these and do not have an RCA Transistor Manual. Can anybody help with this?

I don't know what a Woodson amp is, but I guess the 509 is the valid number here, and it could very well be an RCA-specific number. But if by any chance it is a 2N509 then it's a PNP Ge 225mW 750MHz 30V 40mA transistor. I can't tell what case this is though. You'll have to deduce yourself if these are probable guesses.
